Guest reviews matter.
They matter to the Royal Kruger team, as they are a good reflection of whether we are giving our guests everything they want. But, they also matter to other prospective guests who may be considering staying with us. This is what our guests have to say...
Julia Emily et les autres.. vous réservent un accueil très chaleureux, familial.
Ils sont adorables et toujours à l’écoute et surtout très disponibles!
Zebras greeted, giraffes peered, ostriches roamed....bush, pool and birds relaxed us. Staff spoilt us. The safaris were overwhelming with the abundance of wildlife wandering around oblivious to us. What a “royal” experience! Thanks, Royal Kruger
Just returned from South Africa our last three nights were spent at Royal Kruger Lodge it was like being welcomed into a very warm family. The staff could not have been more welcoming the meals were well prepared simple food always served with a smile. The location within Marloth Park a conservation area adjacent to Kruger is akin to living in Kruger without the large predators
It was our first trip to Africa and this has got to be the highlight of our visit. We didn't know what to expect but the staff led by Emily were just outstanding. Everything was very well organised and schedules were adhered to very efficiently. The whole place was kept in excellent order. We loved the boma dinners organised by Julie and her team. The singing in acapella at the start of every 4-course dinner was a bonus. How can we forget the affable Robert who led us on the big hunt at the park. He kept us excited and watchful as he made a running commentary of what to expect of every wildlife we encountered. Great management all around.
OK. Experience of a life time. The lodge is amazing, starting when you arrive, Julia, greets you and welcomes you to the lodge. I have traveled to many places and i have never felt a welcome from the heart as I felt here. You arrive as a guest and leave as a family. All the people here makes you feel as you are home. The food is just unbelievable. The bed is comfortable and the water flow is strong and warm. Kruger is great and the activities they offer is all very good. I will be back for sure.
Faultless, we couldn't have wished for better hosts, guides or hospitality. A memorable stay, we saw the big 5 on 2 of our 3 outings and fed zebras in the front garden. Doesn't get better than that. Congratulations to all concerned and thank you.
My girlfriend and I have recently returned home from a wonderful 7-night stay at the Royal Kruger Lodge. The lodge organised all of our activities for us (including numerous game drives) and Robert, our guide, is a lovely man with a comprehensive knowledge of the wildlife (as well as South Africa in general). All of the staff at the lodge were unfailingly friendly/helpful and the head chef Julia made sure we were very well fed with her tasty food! The accommodation is of a high standard with good air-conditioning and the pool area and loungers were welcome after a long day on safari. We would highly recommend this lodge to anybody looking to stay in the Kruger region and it’s a trip that we’ll never forget.
We loved Royal Kruger Lodge. A great place to relax and unwind. More than this, JJ, Florence and the staff have created a friendly and nurturing atmosphere you rarely find on holidays. Guests mingle easily, giraffes and zebras drop by, and I have never been so well fed. We wanted to bring Julia the cook back to Australia with us! Safari guide Robert has an eagle eye and we saw some amazing things on safari. A wonderful stay.
What an amazing experience at Royal Kruger Lodge from the warm welcome to the beautiful, emotional farewell and everything in between.
The lodge's bush setting with visits from warthogs, zebras and giraffes was fantastic.
The accommodation named and decorated authentically as well as the varied and fascinating activities on offer were terrific. The delicious and plentiful food expertly prepared by Julia assisted and served by the rest of the team was outstanding.
However, it is the wonderful staff Royal Kruger is fortunate to have that will touch your heart and leave their imprint. Emily ably managed and organised everything from package and optional activities to laundry. Robert, our eagle-eyed safari guide, provided a wealth of information and insight but also entertained with comedic interludes as well as orchestrating (with input from the animals, of course!) the most memorable safari seeing the Big 7 and other unique interactions, all with such enthusiasm and infectious delight, was just a champion. Julia, head chef, Numsa our vivacious and social bar manager, Rick our interesting and informative chauffeur (and so much more!) and the rest of the team were all just amazing.
Not only did they provide attentive and efficient service but their warmth and generous spirits made our stay so special and our goodbye so difficult.
The highlight of our 15 day African adventure, thank you so much.
Very relaxing after a hectic tour of Kruger Park. The hosts made me feel really at home. It was also great to be able to get close to the animals without having to stay in the car like in the park. I can't recommend Royal Kruger Lodge strongly enough.
